How to use
Tune COM 1 to the right facility before you transmit β when a controller hands you off,
you change frequency yourself, same as in the aircraft. Transmit on the wrong one and you get silence.
Read the situation, then make the radio call the controller expects. Type it, or hold the π mic like a real
push-to-talk switch β tap it once instead and the mic stays open until you tap again. Pauses will not cut you off.
The active runway changes every time you fly a drill β read it off the
Situation panel, do not fly it from memory. Pick your aircraft in the top bar; the call sign follows it.
Once a runway or taxiway is established on frequency, the bare number or letter is correct β
you do not have to say the word "runway" every time.
π Say again replays the controller. βΊ wipes your call so you can re-key it.
Hit Transmit and the coach grades your call the way an instructor would.
π€ Mic check tests your microphone first. After a voice call you see what we heard β if the mic got a word wrong, redo the call; the redo replaces the score.
